The Watertown Area is easily accessible on Interstate 81, located about a half hour drive south of the Canadian border at the Thousand Islands Bridge and an hour north of Syracuse.

Beyond exploring Watertown itself, many visitors enjoy visits to the nearby Lake Ontario villages of Sackets Harbor and Henderson Harbor or St. Lawrence River villages of Alexandria Bay, Clayton and Cape Vincent.  The City is also a popular stop over to vacations travel to the Adirondacks.
